| 《赋格的艺术》是举世公认，西方文化中最重要、极具知性的精心作品，是音乐艺术中最令人惊叹的钜作，撷取了所有有关对位的精髓。巴哈在谱写《赋格的艺术》时眼疾越来越严重，却埋首于创作，但在辞世前，却也未能如愿完成。这部对位变化曲系无疑是一重要启示，充满了巧妙变化与无限想象空间。在配器方面，由于巴哈并未做任何指示，徒留许多困惑便撒手西归，以致付樟以来，有过各种乐器版本的演奏，直至十九世纪才有理论相信「应是键盘乐器而作」。或许巴哈并不在乎最后演出效果，《赋格的艺术》只是巴哈一项精致的心智活动而已？ |
